JournalStone will be moving forward
August 1st is coming very soon. I am pretty sure it is this Saturday and with that we will be launching our new website. We have linked in other sites, revamped the layout, added a search engine; provide links to some interesting stuff and our sweatshirts and t-shirts are now available for sale. All of this after setting up our company and opening a checking account. Might seem like small events but in the end every little piece gets us closer to operating like a real business.
One of the exciting things will be our blog register. Anyone who signs up will be automatically entered into the free t-shirt give-a-way that we will be doing monthly. I know everyone out there has just been dying to get a JournalStone shirt. It will be on all the magazine covers as soon as we get Eliza Dushku to be our spokesperson. Excitedly we have already sold two shirts and I just picked them up today. We also earned our first 32 cents in advertising revenue. 32 cents. I bought everyone lunch just to celebrate. All of this and the site is not even open to the public yet.
Our monthly hit count has gone up every again and I thought it might not be possible to top June when we had the influx of traffic from Farrah Fawcett’s passing away. I have always been a fan so I had done a few blogs on her over the first few weeks. We not only met the monthly total but have now surpassed it. Every month seems to bring new milestones achieved in the business endeavor. Still can’t seem to get the book published. Those damn editors have to deal with a lot of grammatical mistakes on my part. Good thing I am not paying them by the mistake. I might not be able to afford it.
So give us the weekend to work out the quirks and starting Monday tune in for the launch of the month. August should bring more excitement. With all of the additions I am hoping our content and traffic continue to grow.
If you have any suggestions send them in to duncanmoron@journalstone.com. If they are good I will post them and if they are not then I will mock you and put you down publically.
Sorry, it just seems to be the way I work.
Isabel Lucas is another Choice

The customer is always right. Can we keep that motto going? For more days than I can remember Isabel Lucas is the most searched name that is associated with our website. We are fast becoming the Isabel Lucas website. I can think of much worse things to be but continue to find it surprising. I have not written on Isabel Lucas in a while. A while for me being about 4 or 5 days or 50 to 60 blogs. Yes, I seem to be writing more than one a day that is for sure. I figure inundate the world with quantity versus quality right. Throw enough shit against a wall and see what sticks.
Please just shut the hell up. Ever blog I write is quality. Isabel Lucas is hot enough and I now feel like we should throw her in the mix as our spokesperson. We are still reviewing several possibilities so if you or anyone have a suggestion please drop me a note. I have nominated Anna Faris and now Isabel Lucas. While I think they are both smoking hot I have to give the nod to Isabel Lucas on the tongue. She has the longest most metallic tongue I have ever seen on a woman in a movie. If you have not seen Transformers II you most likely have no idea what I am talking about.
I personally feel that either one of them would be acceptable but I have no idea how to contact them. I only have two criteria. They need to work for free and be willing to pose in anything and however we need them to. It would really be a simple contract. Does anyone know how to get through to either one of them? If you do please contact me and I will see what we can work out. It would also be nice to know if either of them had been a cheerleader at some point in their life. I don’t know why this matters other than my adolescent adoration for cheerleaders. I do love those little skirts.
If you want your nominee to hold serious consideration we need them to be delivered asap. This kind of negotiation doesn’t happen overnight. If we do go with Isabel Lucas we should find out if we can borrow that tongue from the set of Transformers II. Damn even if we don’t get Isabel Lucas how about seeing if we could get that tongue. Now that would be something we should sell on JournalStone.com. We could call it the JournalToungue. I would have to ask my business partners. They at times think my ideas are a little insane. Why, I don’t know.
JournalStone (Continuing to gain Momentum)

Our goal was to hit 50k clicks by the end of July. Seeing as how we are just now a couple days over our three month anniversary that should have been an ambitious goal. Excitedly we hit our target early clocking our 50k click today. All of this from just the blog and we haven’t even opened up any other portion of the website yet.
August 1st is still our launch date for the new look and feel of what JournalStone will become. It will provide our own platform and hosting site enabling us to set up sponsors, our own search capabilities and our new webstore. August will be an exciting month as we will continue to introduce some of the items we have been touting in our recent blogs. As with all launch dates we will not have everything we anticipated from day 1 of the new site but we will keep shoving things out there as quickly as possible as the month ticks by.
Reaching the 50k click count goal is an exciting achievement. I have nothing to base this on for comparison but for three months into our new venture it is enough to excite me. If you have any bearings or are blogging yourself send a note back to me and let me know your thoughts. If you think this is nothing to get excited about then shut the hell up and keep your opinions to yourself. We only accept positive accolades at our site. No derogatory comments unless they are coming from me directed at whoever I might choose to direct them. I am not even going to mention the religious group here today though. This is a pat on the back blog not a slam your local church blog.
So everyone tune in starting August 1 and check out the new site. We will be registering people for the free giveaways starting on or around that date. If you ever had your heart on a Journalstone t-shirt or sweatshirt but can’t afford the astronomical prices we will be charging then get ready to sign up.
Additionally we are looking for a spokesperson. I have been contemplating several possibilities and feel that Anna Faris might be a good nominee. We have no money to pay her and can’t offer her much exposure but she would look hot on the website and in some of our clothing line. If anyone out there knows her see if she would be interested.
Anna Faris does JournalStone. Has a nice ring to it I think.
Blogging and Drinking equals a;ldkfja;dlskfj
My head feels like it might explode, I am waiting on a conference call for work and I am senslessly writing words without any thought what-so-ever.
I should probably shower.
Who hasn’t drank a little too much? OK, we all know if you are reading my blogs you probably have a drinking problem, are socially inept or possible both. Anyway, I will keep it short today if that is ever even possible for somebody of my stature. hahah. Did you get that?
Have a great Friday.
Blogging Milestones Achieved
Journalstone was started as a fluke really. A friend of mine at work suggested the basic concept and I ran with the seed and turned it into….well what I have today which is still a work in progress. Still it has been interesting over the last couple of months watching it morph into an actual project. What have I accomplished in 60 days?
Accomplishments
Website up and running and a great name. Journalstone. I like it anyway.
Well over 100 blogs written in that short span all by me. Some good, some bad and some just should not be read but still quantity is there even if you don’t like the quality on all occasions.
Well over 7000 clicks. May not seem like much but generating traffic is no small feet so thanks to all of you out there who actually read my rambling frothy rants. Hopefully some of them have touched a spot here or there. (Not that spot Dirk, the other one)
My book is in the final stages of editing which is exciting. Still a few months away from publishing with the cover design, back cover layout, proofing etc. all to be done but it’s on its way.
New logo is finished and will shortly be displayed as the journalstone branding symbol.
You might think that I would be happy with where I am but just to give you a sneak preview I have a lot of things left out there that I would like to do.
Coming Soon
Web store will be opening up in a few weeks. Journalstone paraphernalia will be available for purchase including sweatshirts, t-shirts and who knows what else.
Links to Journalstone artistic talent will start to be developed. Photographers, art galleries etc. will be expanded and start to grow over the summer.
Site will continue to be upgraded and enhanced to push forward with the overall Journalstone dream.
For me personally my book will be published and available for sale to the three people who might be interested in reading it. haha, you know who you are.
Finally I want to thank everyone who has helped, who is helping and for those of you who are not tired of me for continuing to help. Friends have proofed my book for me, given suggestions on website content, helped build the site or enhance it, marketing team that help design the logo, the business cards and the soon to be for sale shirts.
I wouldn’t have been able to do anything without the support of my friends so thanks to everyone. Hopefully with your continued backing I can keep inflicting the world with my torturous mumblings of wordy meaningless ramblings.
My First time!
A friend of mine (Duncan) asked me to start a blog on his web site. So after much arm twisting and being inundated with pleading phone calls, I reluctantly agreed. Of course my first problem was coming up with a topic to write about for my first blog. I mean, what do ordinary people write about on their blogs? From what I have read of Duncan’s blogs, anything goes, the subject can be crude, pointless, and have the ability to insult a wide array of people. Of course, that is the point isn’t it. The whole purpose seems to be to get people excited or angry enough about your subject matter so that they comment and hopefully return to your blog. This I am told, drives traffic to your site, which in turn, creates more opportunities to sell advertising, which in turn fills the bloggers pockets with cash. (Dream sequence of Duncan rolling in a big pile of cash sucking down a Stella)
Why else would anyone write the meaningless dribble that is displayed in these blogs? True, this is just my opinion, but take if from Duncan we are all capable of formulating an opinion and should be free to express ourselves. If you don’t believe me read his blogs. That being said, Duncan’s written diareah seems to be a meaningless stream of thoughts that are bouncing around the inside of his cavernous hollow skull. Did I mention I am catholic. If you read his blogs you will understand my comments. I am more of a recoverd catholic, but catholic none the less. If anyone is going to trash catholics, it should be a catholic with a concience. Who cares what catholics think anyway, for God’s sake, your trashing a religion that is so insecure, it wouldn’t even let movie makers film the vatican (should that be capitalized?), because of fictional story content. I will stop here, because I could go on and on about the catholic church and religion in general.
Please don’t misunderstand me about Duncan’s blog, Duncan is a very good writer and this should not take anything away from his novel (Duncan’s Diary ) or short stories, which are well written and thoughtful with well developed characters, ableit disturbing.
Well this is the end of my first blog. I am not sure if this constitutes a blog, but who really cares, no one is going to read this anyway. (Dream sequence of Duncan rolling around in a pile of leaves drinking a miller lite.)

Journalstone which was started a little over two months ago is in the midst of a transformation. Maybe we should call it transformer-mation stone and pit ourselves in robotic action against each other. I would have to ask Megan Fox to join us or possibly even Isabel Lucas as I am partial to both. If only Megan can keep her mouth closed. Well closed most of the time. She seems to be spouting off again and has angered Michael Bay stating that God forbid his movie was not Shakespeare. Hmmmm, she looks fantastic and I might have to go with her on that one. I have seen Shakespeare and holy shit there was not a robot in any one of those plays.
